How many cars are there in Penang?

It's illogical to post an irrelevant
picture on a post about logic, no?

Troubled by a question like that, that's how bad I've been reduced to. I have always been proud of my logical thinking, which sometimes doesn't seem to be very logical. However, I never expect myself to be troubled by such an easy logic question!

Statistical data for the cars in Penang might not be available, since the mobility of cars in and out of Penang is high. The car ownership in Penang with decent assumption could somehow be obtained from JPJ, and it should decently reflect the cars in Penang. Else, take the population Penang, select the demographic of drivers in Penang, say age 18 - 55 and assume that each of them is having 1~2 cars in average and the answer can be obtained. Or the number of household in Penang, assume that household within annual household income bracket  of RM50k ~ RM99K to have 2 cars, RM100k ~ 200k would have 3 cars, and so on so forth.

I should really really reevaluate myself, years have passed working in an environment where confident big lie is the only way to sell. Logic is twisted, well not really twisted but different. If you're selling products that is durable, it's not going to sell well, their logic, there wouldn't be much return customer if such is the case. The retailers demand products that is of decent quality, life span that is long enough that the customer wouldn't complain and short enough for them to continue buying from them and at no cost if it's possible so they can make big profit. To them that's logic. Everyone understand that the better the quality of the product, the more expensive it cost, and by selling them, it should reap them profit and more importantly increase their goodwill. But that is not important to them, they want short term profit, because the economic is bad and everyone is getting cheap. If and only if they open their eyes, look around and notice the luxury cars around them that is still selling like hot cakes, or the increasing demand for tax agent, well if business ain't making big profit, what bother hiring someone to handle their tax?

Persevere I am in my belief that the less product I sell, the more focus I can be, and I could increase the profit of the company as a whole. Yet, sweet fruits have yet be seen, and could of doubts was all over my head. It's usually at time like this that I start doing something really stupid, and my brain stop working logically, now, it seems like I found the reason why I couldn't answer the question of "How many cars are there in Penang?"
